Swiss luxury watchmaker unveils new smartwatches and produces all-diamond version of Modular 45 model
TAG Heuer launched its new range of Connected Modular timepieces during the Geneva Days 2018 exhibition. The new models include the all-new polished white gold, diamond encrusted Connected Modular 45 Diamond, which comes with a price tag of £155,000.
While the new glitzy iteration of the Connected Modular remains at the standard 45mm case size, the major amendment to the new editions is the smaller, 41mm case size.
The new Modular 41 chronograph sports editions come in three new colour options – pink, blue and white leather. The new diameter size purports to suit the smaller wrist while maintaining the technological sophistication and aesthetic elegance of the 45.
Developed in collaboration with Intel and Google, the Connected 41’s AMOLED 390x390 screen features improved brightness and sharpness at 350 nits and 326 ppi respectively.
It has also had its storage capacity increased from 8GB and its RAM memory has been pumped up 1GB.
Running on the Android Wear operating system, the TAG Heuer Connected 45 and 41 are compatible with Android 4.4 phones and iOS 9 or later versions.
TAG also introduced the all-new Formula 1 Lady model, which goes for £850-£1050.
The connected Big Bang Referee 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia model is a Hublot watch through and through.
