Strom pays homage to Swiss artist HR Giger’s biomechanoid monster from the 1979 film Alien with the In Memoriam HR Giger timepiece. Saddened by the death of his friend while they were co-designing this watch three years ago, Daniel Strom fittingly unveiled the 99-piece edition at the HR Giger Museum in Gruyères.

Sculpted into the silver case is the skull of the Cyborg creature extending from the lugs, while its body parts are etched into the middle.

Another of Giger’s works, the famed ELP II canvas, which he painted overnight with an airbrush, inspires the silver-cast dial.
